Collection: Nepenthes (Tropical Pitcher Plants)
Nepenthes are pitcher plants from mostly Asia. Often considered the most beautiful of all carnivorous plants, Nepenthes also make a case for the most deadly. Some giant species have been known to devour small mammals such as tree shrews and even monkeys! (Keep toddlers a safe distance). Nepenthes generally consist of highland and lowland varieties, requiring slight cultivation differences depending on species. Typically considered epiphytes, most species grow on or nearby trees where they latch on and climb using their vining leaves.
